The Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center project is a key project determined by the governments of Hainan Province and Haikou City in 2009. It is a multifunctional comprehensive area integrating conferences, exhibitions, hotels, leisure, commerce, and residential areas. After completion, it will become an important platform and carrier for the development of modern service industry in Haikou. As a supporting facility for the future Pan Pearl River Delta (9+2) Cooperation and Development Forum and Economic and Trade Fair held in Hainan, the Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center, after being put into use, will end Hainan's history of small exhibition scale and slow development, and become a high-end service platform for international public and business activities in Hainan Province. At the same time, it will also be Haikou's unique "city card".
The Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center is invested and built by Shenzhen Tianli Real Estate Group, and designed by Mr. Li Xinggang, the designer of the 2008 Olympic "Bird's Nest" at the China Academy of Architectural Design. The total construction area is 136200 square meters, with a total investment of RMB 1.38 billion. It consists of an exhibition center and a conference center, with the exhibition center having a construction area of 77000 square meters and the conference center having a construction area of 42000 square meters. The overall appearance of the building is novel and unique, fully reflecting tropical coastal elements. The roof is wavy, with regular rhythms and continuous undulations.


Exhibition Hall Scale
The exhibition center of Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center has a building area of 77000 square meters, with three exhibition halls and a 4800 square meter indoor opening ceremony hall that can accommodate 6000 people. The indoor area can accommodate 2320 standard booths, and the exhibition center can hold various types of exhibitions, demonstrations, performances, and other activities. The exhibition hall equipment meets international exhibition standards, and the outdoor exhibition area is 25000 square meters, which can be used to hold gatherings of 10000 people, large-scale performances, and outdoor exhibitions of large equipment. There are separate customs supervision warehouses, exhibition equipment warehouses, high-end restaurants, and fast food service points for thousands of people in the exhibition center.  

Conference Room
The conference center of Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center is three stories high, arranged in a straight line from east to west, with a building area of 42000 square meters. There is a theater style conference hall on the west side that can accommodate 1800 people, with four floors high and three floors of seats; The first floor in the middle is a multifunctional hall that can accommodate 2000 people, suitable for hosting various events such as conferences, banquets, performances, fashion shows, and small themed exhibitions. The third floor has an international conference hall that can accommodate 800 people; There are 22 conference rooms and VIP rooms of various specifications on the second and third floors on the east side.
