The Shanxi Provincial Exhibition Center is a window unit for showcasing the political, economic, cultural, and technological achievements of our province, a platform for promoting the achievements of our province's transformation and leapfrog development, and the earliest comprehensive exhibition base in our province.
The Shanxi Provincial Exhibition Center is located at No. 12 Xinjinci Road, Wanbailin District, Taiyuan City, covering an area of approximately 200000 square meters. It is a fully funded public institution at the level of a department head and is under the jurisdiction of the Shanxi Provincial Economic and Information Technology Commission. There are currently 12 departments, namely the office; Party Work Department; personnel section; Finance Department; Development Collaboration Department; Administrative department; Retirement Management Department; Security Department; Landscape Architecture; Exhibition Business Department; Exhibition Hall Operations Department; Exhibition reception department.
After the merger of the two museums in 1983, with the support of the provincial government and the provincial economic commission, our museum invested 20 million yuan to build an indoor exhibition hall with an area of 26000 square meters and the capacity to accommodate 700 international standard booths. In 2007, our museum built two new lightweight steel structure exhibition halls, one with an area of 3000 m2 and the other with an area of 8000 m2, on the basis of the original main exhibition hall; Hardened and beautified nearly 30000 square meters of outdoor plaza. In 2011, our museum built a 15000 square meter supporting exhibition hall in the North Square, which can provide catering, accommodation and other supporting services for exhibitions. In 2012, our museum added 6000 square meters to the North Exhibition Hall by adding floors for renovation. Currently, our museum can provide an indoor exhibition area of 40000 square meters and can accommodate around 2000 standard booths. There are a total of 20 exhibition halls, 2 VIP lounges, 3 reception rooms, in addition to a lecture hall that can accommodate 150 people, 2 restaurants with a total area of 3000 square meters, and 1 hotel. The exhibition hall is fully equipped with water, electricity, gas, broadcasting, communication, fire protection, and security inspection equipment, with complete supporting facilities. The outdoor exhibition area can display large mechanical equipment. After years of continuous renovation, the various functions of our exhibition and display facilities have become increasingly perfect, fully equipped to undertake large-scale domestic and international exhibitions and events.
Since its establishment, our museum has become the largest exhibition base and important window for promoting and serving the economic, political, and cultural construction of Shanxi. At the same time, our museum has a professional exhibition design and production team that has undertaken a large number of outdoor exhibition design tasks within Shanxi Province, making outstanding contributions to Shanxi's exhibition economy and promoting its economic development.

Since 1984, as a convention and exhibition base in Shanxi, the exhibition hall has hosted a large number of exhibitions, including the "One Conference, One Festival" and "Two Sessions, One Festival" hosted by the Shanxi Provincial Government, the Famous and New Commodity Fair, the Spring Festival Commodity Fair, the Shanxi Commodity Fair, the National Medical Equipment Expo, the Textile Fair, the Cultural Supplies Fair, the Teaching Instrument and Equipment Ordering Fair, and other large-scale exhibitions. At the same time, it also undertook exhibition tasks in other provinces, participated in the 99 Kunming Horticultural Expo, the 50th Anniversary Achievement Exhibition of the Founding of the People's Republic of China, the Achievements Exhibition of State owned Enterprise Reform and Development, the Achievements Exhibition of Utilizing Foreign Investment in the 20th Year of Reform and Opening up, the China International Agricultural Expo, the China International High tech Achievement Trading Fair, the East West Trade Fair, the Jinci Museum Cultural Relics Exhibition, the 2004 China Domestic Tourism Trade Fair, the first China International Service Industry Conference and Exhibition, the China International Agricultural Products Deep Processing and Food Agriculture Exhibition, the China International Tourism Trade Fair, the National Safety Production Exhibition, the National Creation of a Conservation oriented Society Exhibition, the China Domestic Tourism Trade Fair, the 2007, 2008, 2010 China (Dayuan) International Coal and Energy New Industry Expo and other large-scale exhibitions.
Exhibition Hall Scale
The entire museum covers an area of 300000 square meters, with a superior geographical location and convenient transportation. It is located on Section 1 of Jinci Road in Taiyuan City, on the west bank of the Fen River, 3 kilometers away from the famous Yingze Street and 17 kilometers away from the nationally renowned Jinci tourist attraction; 8 kilometers from Taiyuan Railway Station and 18 kilometers from Taiyuan Airport. There is a new exhibition venue with complete functions and facilities, covering an area of 50000 square meters and a building area of 26000 square meters. The indoor exhibition hall, including the basement, is divided into 3 floors and 18 exhibition halls, which can accommodate 700 international standard booths of 3 × 3m2; The outdoor exhibition area is 15000 square meters, which can provide exhibition and display of large mechanical equipment.
