The Beijing International Convention Center was established in August 1988 to provide news center services for the 11th Asian Games. It is a major member unit of Beijing Beichen Industrial Co., Ltd. The conference center is located on North Fourth Ring Road in the urban area of Beijing, situated within the Asian Games Village, adjacent to the expressway, with a superior geographical location and developed transportation. The main building covers an area of about two hectares, with a total construction area of 68802.54 square meters. It is currently one of the most influential professional exhibition venues in China.

The Beijing International Convention Center began trial operation on May 14, 1990 and officially opened in August 1990. It joined the International Association of Convention Centers (AIPC) on July 5, 1992 and the International Conference and Assembly Association (ICCA) on April 15, 1996. At the end of 1994, the Beijing International Convention Center was awarded the title of "Beijing Tourism Bureau"; Best International Conference Reception Venue "; He was awarded the title and joined the Beijing Tourism Industry Association with a five-star rating.

Since the 14th Mining Congress in May 1900, the conference center has hosted nearly 4000 large-scale conferences, exhibitions, and major events. In September 1990, as the news center of the 11th Asian Games, the conference center provided high-quality services for journalists and athletes from various countries, and won widespread praise from domestic and foreign guests with first-class software and hardware, becoming well-known both at home and abroad. The Fourth World Conference on Women of the United Nations, Far South Conference, 19th World Insect Congress, 22nd Postal Union Congress, World University Games, 66th International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) Congress, and 2nd Member States Conference of the Global Environment Facility, all of which have international influence, were successfully held at the Beijing International Convention Center.

After more than a decade of operation, the Beijing International Convention Center has cultivated a large number of high-quality management talents and established an advanced service system. 　　The Conference Building is the main building of the Beijing International Convention Center, with a construction area of 52600 square meters. It is currently the only facility in Beijing designed and built specifically for conferences and exhibitions. It features over 60 elegant, comfortable, functionally diverse, and fully equipped conference halls of various sizes, as well as dozens of sets of office rooms. The main conference hall has a capacity of 500 seats and is equipped with equipment such as simultaneous interpretation in eight languages, projection television, film machines, and stereo speakers; The small staircase lecture hall has 170 seats equipped with stereo speakers, projection televisions, and other devices; There are 48 advanced conference halls and an impromptu speech system with voting function.

It can be used to hold special exhibitions in conjunction with conferences, as well as independently host various types of exhibitions, expos, trade shows, art exhibitions, etc. The spacious lobby can serve as a display space for various academic conference papers. The conference building is equipped with a film and television center, a business center, an electronic printing center, and a color printing center, which can provide ideal, comprehensive, and complete services. 　　The Beijing International Convention Center is mainly engaged in hosting international and domestic conferences and exhibitions, large-scale events, and renting office spaces.
