The Chongqing International Convention and Exhibition Center (hereinafter referred to as Chongqing International Convention and Exhibition Center) is located in the commercial core area of Nan'an District, Chongqing. It is one of the most advanced and well-equipped large-scale comprehensive conference and exhibition venues in western China, and is the first choice for hosting domestic and foreign large-scale conferences, exhibitions, and other commercial and cultural activities in the region.
As one of the iconic buildings in the urban area of Chongqing, the Chongqing International Convention and Exhibition Center was built in 2005 and consists of two main buildings: a grand exhibition center and a fully functional conference center. The exhibition center includes indoor exhibition halls and outdoor plazas. The total usable area of the indoor exhibition halls is 58000 square meters, which can accommodate 3100 standard booths; The outdoor exhibition venue has an area of approximately 13000 square meters available for exhibition activities, including opening ceremonies, business exhibitions, and other large-scale events. The conference center has 33 conference rooms of various specifications, such as the 1000 person lecture hall, the 1000 person banquet hall, the multi-function hall, the press release center, the VIP reception hall, etc., and is equipped with advanced conference equipment such as 6-tone simultaneous interpreting, digital conference system, etc. The large and small conference halls can be flexibly combined and changed according to needs.
Since its opening, Chongqing International Convention and Exhibition Center has hosted numerous large-scale exhibitions and conferences with significant international and domestic influence, including the 2005 Asia Pacific City Mayors Summit attended by representatives from 41 countries and 123 cities, the 54th National Drug Fair, the 5th Hong Kong Real Estate Services and Urban Architecture Expo, the 2nd World Chinese Neurosurgery Academic Conference, the China Chongqing International Automotive Industry Exhibition, the Chongqing Mayor's International Economic Advisory Group Annual Meeting, the 2007 Spring National Sugar and Alcohol Commodity Fair, and the China Chongqing Investment and Global Procurement Fair. It has received high praise from customers from all walks of life at home and abroad.
In terms of banquet catering, Chongqing International Convention and Exhibition Center has its own team of senior chefs to provide high-quality banquet services for high-level banquet catering, and has set up a business center, coffee bar, etc. in the conference center to provide comprehensive and perfect services for business people attending conferences to the best of its ability. At the same time, in order to further improve supporting facilities, the Chongqing Kempinski Hotel project, located adjacent to the Chongqing International Convention and Exhibition Center, began construction at the end of 2008. The project includes three major functions: a five-star Kempinski hotel, hotel style apartments, and a top-level office building, with a total construction area of approximately 130000 square meters. The project is expected to be completed in 2010. At that time, Chongqing International Convention and Exhibition Center will truly become a modern and comprehensive exhibition center integrating exhibitions, conferences, hotels, catering, and comprehensive services.
