The Nanjing International Expo Center has a building area of 360000 square meters, including an exhibition area of 170000 square meters, a total of 6000 international standard booths, an outdoor exhibition area of 30000 square meters, and 2500 parking spaces. The conference center includes a 5000 square meter multifunctional hall, an 800 person lecture hall, 20 conference rooms of various sizes, 19 restaurants of various types, and a 4-star international hotel with 500 guest rooms. Other supporting facilities include an economy hotel with 240 guest rooms and 8200 square meters of office service facilities.

The Nanjing International Expo Center is invested and built by the State owned Assets Management Holdings (Group) Co., Ltd. in Hexi New City District, Nanjing. It is a masterpiece of American TVS company that combines the essence of Chinese and Western architectural design. The Expo Center has two main functions: exhibitions and conferences. It is divided into three parts: exhibition halls, conference centers, and supporting service facilities. It covers a total area of 54 hectares and integrates the latest exhibition concepts from around the world and the regional characteristics of Nanjing, forming a unique architectural style of "tiger and dragon". It is majestic and grand in scale.

The Nanjing International Expo Center was the venue for the 2013 Nanjing Asian Youth Games and the 2014 Nanjing Youth Olympic Games.

On November 5, 2018, the Nanjing International Expo Center (NIEC) officially passed the certification of the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI) and became an UFI International Certified Exhibition Hall.

The six exhibition halls of Nanjing International Expo Center only have one floor, but each hall has an exhibition area of 12000 square meters, 162 meters long, 72 meters wide, and a net height of 14 to 22 meters. This size is larger than the standard football field of 105 meters long and 68 meters wide as stipulated by FIFA, and there is not a single pillar in the exhibition hall. The management stated that the flat layout and large space design of the National Exhibition Center are adapted to the characteristics of modern exhibitions - they can freely divide the space and facilitate the loading, unloading, and exhibition of large equipment, especially machinery and mold exhibits.

Introduction to the Conference Center

The complete conference function is another characteristic of the National Expo Center. The conference center has a 5000 square meter multifunctional hall, a thousand person banquet hall, and an 800 person large lecture hall, equipped with advanced building intelligent systems such as network communication technology, wireless internet, satellite and cable TV reception, public broadcasting, background music, multifunctional conference systems, and intelligent system integration. The conference center is also equipped with nearly 20 conference rooms ranging from 120 to 150 square meters. The reporter saw that the 800 person lecture hall looks like a large "luxury private room", with brown and yellow wooden decorative panels harmoniously matched with white walls, tiles, etc. The lecture hall can translate six languages simultaneously.
