The Dongguan International Convention and Exhibition Center is located in the center of the new city of Dongguan, facing Science and Technology Avenue to the east and Hongfu Road to the south. It forms a corner with the Opera House across the Century Square lawn, covering an area of 174271 square meters. The project includes an exhibition center, a conference center, and a four-star hotel. Recently, the Dongguan Municipal Party Committee and Government have put forward the strategic goal of "striving to build Dongguan into a modern central city with the characteristics of an international manufacturing city" and the development plan of playing the "city card", "foreign investment card", and "private card" well. Driven by this goal and idea, in order to enhance Dongguan's radiation function as a modern central city and enhance its international image, the Dongguan International Convention and Exhibition Center, which was carefully designed and planned by the Dongguan Municipal Government based on the overall urban planning and functional layout of Dongguan, was officially completed in September 2001 and operated and managed by the Dongguan Council for the Promotion of International Trade.

The Dongguan International Convention and Exhibition Center is characterized by a large-span steel frame structure in its architectural design, reflecting the rapid development of Dongguan's economy and trade.     这座主体展览面积近五万平方米，目前在珠三角地区设备最为完善,功能最为齐备的会展中心位于东莞市新城市中心区，靠近东莞海关、银城酒店、东莞山庄、丽晶酒店。南临鸿福路，东侧为东莞大道，西侧为会展道，北向亨元路，四面环路。基地面积达195,460平方米,是集展览、会议、酒店、大型停车场等功能为一体的大规模、综合性建筑群。
