The Beijing Exhibition Center was established in 1954 as the first large-scale and comprehensive exhibition hall in Beijing, with Chairman Mao Zedong personally inscribing the words and Premier Zhou Enlai presiding over the ribbon cutting ceremony. The exhibition hall is located in the bustling commercial district of Xizhimen, Beijing, adjacent to the zoo transportation hub to the west, with Xizhimen subway station, urban railway station, and Beijing Railway Station North Station to the east, Zhongguancun Science and Technology Park to the north, and Financial Street and major ministries to the south. Its geographical location is very advantageous. The entire museum covers an area of 200000 square meters and is equipped with an exhibition hall, North Exhibition Theater, Moscow Restaurant, North Exhibition Hotel, Capital Advertising Art Company, and Moscow Restaurant Food Factory.
The Beijing Exhibition Center is committed to the professional development of exhibition business. Since its establishment, it has received over a thousand large-scale exhibitions from home and abroad, with hundreds of millions of visitors. The exhibition content covers various fields such as international economy, trade, technology, culture, politics, and military. The Beijing Exhibition Center has the qualification to host domestic and international economic and technological exhibitions. In 2000, the Beijing Exhibition Center completed the venue renovation and equipment upgrade, meeting the hardware standards for hosting international and modern professional exhibitions. In 2002, it passed the ISO9000 international quality standard system certification. In 2003, it jointly established the Meisha North Exhibition Company with the German Meisha Exhibition Group, specializing in the organization and implementation of international exhibitions. At present, Beijing Exhibition Center has developed into a comprehensive and modern exhibition center with exhibition and conference business as its core, diversified development of catering, entertainment, tourism, and hotels.
