As of April 30, 2026, the 18th Shenzhen International Battery Technology Exchange Conference/Exhibition (CIBF2026) has officially entered a 13 day countdown, with only over two weeks left until its opening on May 13 at the Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center. Today, the organizing committee officially announced the core information of the second round of the advanced battery seminar held at the same time, covering key contents such as guest addition, topic optimization, addition of sub venues, and attendance instructions, further clarifying the core positioning of the seminar and building a precise and efficient platform for technical exchange and resource docking for global industry practitioners.
As a core supporting event of CIBF2026, the Advanced Battery Seminar, with the theme of "Linking the World, Empowering Green, and Driving the Future", is hosted by the China Chemical and Physical Power Industry Association and organized by Tianjin Zhongdian New Energy Research Institute Co., Ltd. It will be held simultaneously with the exhibition (May 13-15) at Hall 18 of the Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center. It will simultaneously connect the entire industry chain resources of the exhibition, focus on cutting-edge technologies and industry pain points in the field of advanced batteries, and create a professional exchange scene with high standards and strong practical knowledge. The following is the core information released in the second round, with detailed explanations in sections:
1、 Additional guest lineup, covering the entire chain of industry, academia, research, and application
On the basis of the first round of guest lineup, the seminar added several top experts in the industry and core executives of enterprises, achieving comprehensive coverage of research institutes, leading enterprises, and industry institutions. New core guests include Zhong Liang, Senior Director of Battery Business and Vehicle Development Director of Guangzhou Xiaopeng Automotive Technology Group Co., Ltd., Zhang Jiujun, Dean of the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Fuzhou University, Yang Fengtian, Chief Scientist of Liaoning General Aviation Research Institute, Du Yixian, Dean of the Research Institute of Guangdong Liyuanheng Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd., and Zhu Xingbao, Vice President and Chief Scientist of Guoxuan High tech Industrial Research Institute.
After this addition, the guest lineup of the seminar will include top scholars from Tsinghua University, Xiamen University, the Chinese Academy of Sciences and other scientific research institutions, technical leaders of leading battery enterprises such as Ningde Times, BYD, Yiwei Lithium Energy, and experts in cross-border fields such as aviation and intelligent equipment. They will share cutting-edge achievements and industry insights from multiple dimensions such as technology research and development, mass production applications, and industrial collaboration. Zhong Liang will host the opening ceremony of the branch venues related to electric aviation batteries, and Zhang Jiujun, Du Yixian and others will make keynote speeches around topics such as solid batteries and intelligent equipment.
2、 Optimization of the agenda system, addition of cross-border integration and compliance control sections
Based on the hot topics of industry development and the actual needs of enterprises, the second round of information will optimize and upgrade the topics of the seminar. On the basis of the existing advanced lithium-ion batteries, solid-state and new system batteries, key material technologies and other sections, two new core sections will be added to further broaden the scope of the seminar:
1. Special section for electric aviation batteries: closely related to the industry background of intensive implementation of low altitude economic policies, focusing on key issues such as tackling core technologies, breaking through production bottlenecks, and airworthiness certification standards for electric aviation power batteries, collaborating with aviation aircraft units, battery companies, and equipment manufacturers to explore the application and landing path of aviation batteries in scenarios such as drones and eVTOLs;
2. Carbon Footprint and Compliance Control Section: In response to industry demands after the implementation of the EU's New Battery Law, relevant topics such as carbon footprint management, digital battery passports, and green manufacturing standards will be added. Industry experts will be invited to break down compliance requirements and help companies cope with global supply chain carbon management challenges.
At the same time, the original agenda was further refined by adding sub themes such as "Industrialization of Sulfide Solid State Batteries", "Intelligent Research and Development of AI New Materials", and "New Technologies for Battery Safety Evaluation", forming a "main venue+8 sub venues" agenda pattern covering the core links of the entire battery industry chain.
3、 Adding sub venues and adjusting schedules to enhance communication effectiveness
To enhance the pertinence and communication efficiency of the seminar, a new sub venue on "Next Generation Battery Technology and Advanced Manufacturing for Electric Aviation" has been added in the second round of information, complementing the original seven sub venues. The specific adjustments are as follows:
1. New sub venue: Next Generation Battery Technology and Advanced Manufacturing Sub venue for Electric Aviation, scheduled to be held from May 13th to 14th, with the theme of "Gathering Momentum and Embarking on a Win Win New Era of Electric Aviation". Supported by One Energy (Beijing) Network Technology Co., Ltd. and Battery China Network, it focuses on core content such as aviation battery technology innovation and industry collaboration;
2. Schedule adjustment: The opening ceremony of the main venue has been scheduled for 9:00 am on May 13th, hosted by Xiao Chengwei, Deputy Secretary General of the China Chemical and Physical Power Industry Association and Professor at Hebei University of Technology. Chairman Zheng Hongyu will deliver the opening speech; The schedule of each sub venue can be found on the official website of CIBF (www.cibf. org. cn), and the final agenda will be announced on the day of the event;
3. Interactive upgrade: Each sub venue will add a "Enterprise Roundtable Forum" section, inviting top enterprise representatives, experts, and scholars to conduct in-depth discussions on industry pain points. At the same time, on-site questioning and resource matching sections will be set up to help participants accurately connect with partners.
