The 12th Guangzhou International Fisheries Expo is expected to kick off in September, with over 650 companies expected to participate
The 12th Guangzhou International Fisheries Expo will be held from September 10th to 12th, 2026 at the China Import and Export Fair Exhibition Hall in Guangzhou. According to the information released by the organizer, this exhibition is expected to have an exhibition area of 50000 square meters, gathering more than 650 domestic and foreign enterprises, focusing on the industrial links of aquatic products, marine pastures, aquaculture, processing and circulation, and cold chain distribution, to build a platform for showcasing the entire fishery industry chain and connecting with commerce.
The Guangzhou International Fisheries Expo was founded in 2015 and has been held for 11 consecutive sessions. After years of development, the exhibition has expanded its display scope from aquatic product trade to upstream and downstream industries such as aquaculture technology, marine ranching, processing equipment, and cold chain logistics.
Multi exhibition linkage, covering the entire fishery industry chain
This year's Guangzhou Fishery Expo will hold the Ocean Ranch Exhibition, Aquaculture Exhibition, Aquatic Prefabricated Vegetable Exhibition, and Cold Chain Fresh Packaging Exhibition at the same time, further strengthening the collaborative display between the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain.
From the exhibition content, in addition to various famous and excellent aquatic products, modern aquaculture technology and equipment, marine ranch construction, deep processing of aquatic products, prefabricated vegetable production, and cold chain warehousing and distribution will also become important components of the exhibition. Through multi sector linkage, the exhibition extends the industrial chain from the breeding production end to the processing, distribution, and consumption markets, providing a centralized docking scenario for production enterprises, distributors, catering channels, and professional buyers.
In terms of professional procurement, the organizers expect that this exhibition will attract buyers from 80 countries and more than 150 professional procurement groups to participate, with an expected audience of over 45000 people. As the exhibition has not yet been held, the above data currently belongs to the expected scale announced by the organizer.
Ocean ranching and industrial upgrading have become important highlights
Modern ocean ranching is one of the directions worth paying attention to at this exhibition. With the development of the aquaculture industry towards scale, intelligence, and greenness, the connection between aquaculture equipment, smart fisheries, seedlings, feed animal protection, and deep processing of aquatic products and traditional aquatic product trade has been further strengthened.
This exhibition layout also echoes the current direction of modern marine industry development in Guangzhou. The "15th Five Year Plan" outline for Guangzhou, released in 2026, proposes that Guangzhou will build a modern marine ranching industry chain that integrates planting, breeding, equipment, and deep processing, and accelerate the construction of Panyu National Coastal Fishing Port Economic Zone and Nansha Provincial Modern Fishery Industrial Park.
The previously released "Guangzhou Plan to Accelerate the Construction of a Strong Urban Modern Agriculture City" also proposed that Guangzhou will leverage its advantages in scientific research, equipment manufacturing, and distribution to promote the construction of modern marine ranches. With the Huangsha Aquatic Products New Market as the core, it will link up with Nansha and Huadu Cold Chain Logistics Bases to explore the construction of a modern aquatic product trading system for domestic and foreign markets.
Relying on the Bay Area market, strengthen the docking of fishery commerce and trade
Guangzhou and the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area have a large market for seafood consumption, while also gathering catering, commerce, cold chain logistics, and import and export channels, providing a strong market foundation for professional fisheries exhibitions.
From the setting of this exhibition, it can be seen that the Guangzhou Fisheries Expo is further extending from a centralized display platform for aquatic products to an industry chain resource docking platform. The concentrated hosting of marine ranching, aquaculture, processed food, and cold chain logistics will help strengthen the connection between the production, processing, distribution, and procurement ends.
As the September exhibition period approaches, the 12th Guangzhou International Fisheries Expo will once again gather upstream and downstream resources of the fisheries industry chain. The development and changes in modern marine ranching, intelligent aquaculture, aquatic product processing, and cold chain circulation will also become important windows for observing the current upgrading of the fishery industry and market demand.
