The 140th Canton Fair kicks off in Guangzhou in October, with over 30000 enterprises showcasing China's new foreign trade momentum
The 140th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) will be held in three phases in Guangzhou from October 15 to November 4, 2026. As an important comprehensive international trade event in China, this year's Canton Fair has a total offline exhibition area of 1.55 million square meters, with 54 professional exhibition areas and over 75000 booths. There are more than 30000 participating companies, and a batch of products that reflect innovative, intelligent, and green development directions will be showcased.
2026 is also an important historical milestone for the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Canton Fair. The Canton Fair was founded in the spring of 1957 and is held in Guangzhou every spring and autumn. It is jointly hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and the People's Government of Guangdong Province, and organized by the China Foreign Trade Center. After long-term development, the Canton Fair has become an important international trade platform connecting Chinese manufacturing with the global market.
The third exhibition covers the manufacturing, home, and consumer industries
According to official arrangements, the 140th Canton Fair will continue to be held in three phases, each lasting for 5 days.
The first phase will be held from October 15th to 19th, focusing on areas such as household appliances, electronic consumer goods and information products, industrial automation and intelligent manufacturing, mechanical equipment, new materials and chemical products, new energy vehicles and smart travel, automotive parts, new energy, hardware tools, etc., presenting new products and technologies in advanced manufacturing and green low-carbon fields.
The second phase will be held from October 23rd to 27th, with exhibits covering daily-use ceramics, kitchen utensils, household goods, home decoration, garden supplies, gifts, building and decorative materials, bathroom equipment, and furniture, highlighting the home life industry and consumer goods supply chain.
The third phase will be held from October 31st to November 4th, covering areas such as toys, maternity and baby products, clothing and apparel, textile fabrics, shoes and bags, home textiles, healthcare and medical equipment, food, sports and tourism leisure products, personal care and pet products, further connecting global consumer market demand.
Highlighting 'new, intelligent, and green', showcasing the upgrading of Chinese manufacturing
From the exhibition area settings of this year, industries such as intelligent manufacturing, new energy, new materials, and new energy vehicles will continue to be important components of the first phase of the Canton Fair. Digital, intelligent, and green products will be showcased in a concentrated manner at the exhibition.
At the same time, the 140th Canton Fair will continue to carry out new product launch activities, collecting products with technological innovation, material innovation, functional innovation, design innovation, and green low-carbon characteristics from participating enterprises, and focusing on showcasing new products with independent intellectual property rights.
