The Shenzhen World Exhibition&Convention Center (abbreviated as Shenzhen World) is a major project invested and constructed by the Shenzhen Municipal Government. It is a landmark building in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, an important platform for Shenzhen to comprehensively expand its opening up in the new era, an important carrier for enhancing the core engine function of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area construction and better exerting its radiating and driving role, and a strong support for building a demonstration zone of socialism with Chinese characteristics.

The Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center is located at No. 1 Zhancheng Road, Fuhai Street, Bao'an District, Shenzhen, adjacent to Shenzhen Airport. It is situated at the top of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, the center of the Pearl River Delta, and the center of the Guangdong Free Trade Zone. It is also the intersection of the core development corridor and the east-west development corridor of Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong, as well as the intersection of the three major urban agglomerations of Guangzhou Foshan, Shenzhen Dongguan Huizhou, and Zhuhai Zhongjiang. With outstanding location advantages, it has a good resource aggregation effect and huge development potential.

The exhibition hall adopts a long strip "fishbone style" layout, with a north-south, 1.75-kilometer-long double layered central corridor connecting all the entrance halls, exhibition halls, conference areas, and dining areas.

The Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center has a total of 19 exhibition halls arranged symmetrically along the central corridor. There are 16 standard exhibition halls in the southern area (20000 square meters each), and 3 multi-functional exhibition halls in the northern area (1 super large exhibition hall of 50000 square meters, 1 conference center of 20000 square meters, and 1 activity center of 20000 square meters). The exhibition hall has a total of 5 main entrances and exits, of which 2 entrances (east of the south entrance hall and east of the north entrance hall) are directly connected to the subway. The overall layout is clear and reasonable, with convenient and efficient passenger and freight flow lines.
